Contentious Probate

Contentious Probate arises when somebody, usually a family member to the deceased, objects to either the distribution of the assets in a Will or the distribution of the Estate under the Rules of Intestacy.
If a contentious probate matter arises the person who objects would usually lodge a Caveat with the Probate Registry to prevent the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration being granted.
