Deed of Variation

A Deed of Variation is a legal document that can be written after death to redistribute a persons assets.
They can be used to change a distribution under Intestacy or the requested distribution within the Will of the deceased.
Deeds of Variations can also be used to correct mistakes within a will and are often used for Inheritance Tax Planning purposes.
Deeds of Variations must be completed within two years of death.
