Enduring Power of Attorney

Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) is a legal document giving another power to take over your affairs in the event that you lose mental capacity.
If you have created an EPA you are referred to as the "Donor", once the donor loses capacity the Enduring Power of Attorney must be registered with the Public Guardian Office before it can be used.
Enduring Powers of Attorney, although still valid if signed prior to October 2007, have now been replaced with the more comprehensive Lasting Power of Attorney.
