Intestacy Rules

The Intestacy Rules are rules that successive governments have implemented to distribute your estate if you do not make a will
A common misconception is that a spouse or civil partner will always inherit your entire estate just because you are married. This is simply not true. The only way this can happen is to make a will otherwise the Intestacy rules we take precedent over the distribution of your estate.
