Standing search

To lodge a Standing search at the probate registry would be to register an interest in the estate of a deceased person. Once lodged the Probate Registry would inform you that a Probate application had been submitted.
A Standing search would not stop the probate registry from granting a grant of probate, as such if you wish to dispute the distribution of the estate it is not advisable to lodge a standing search, moreover you should seek legal advice and possibly lodge a caveat.
