Bournemouth Probate Office

Bournemouth probate office is not an official probate registry.  If you have been invited to attend an interview, the Bournemouth venue will merely be a room in a court or local authority building.  Staff from HM Courts & Tribunals will attend to allow personal representatives to swear the oath.  These venues are subject to change.

If you have an enquiry about a probate application, you'll need to go through the District Probate Registry.  You can email them with your query at WinchesterDPRenquiries@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk

Depending on what information you need, you may need to contact the Principle Registry.

What do you Need Help With?

You may not be aware of this but the probate office can only assist you with queries related to your application or information searches.  Staff are not qualified to give legal advice or guidance with inheritance tax issues.  Neither can they help you with matters relating to administering the estate, after the grant of probate has been issued.

Probate Applications - We offer a comprehensive estate administration service.  For a low cost, fixed fee, let IWC take care of everything.  This includes making the application, completing your inheritance tax return, valuing the estate, collecting in monies and corresponding with all beneficiaries.

Caveats - If you've discovered that you cannot apply for probate because a caveat is in place, it is recommended that you seek legal advice.  Similarly, if you'd like a standing search so you're informed when an application is made or you wish to enter in a caveat, we can help.

Find a Will - We can obtain probate records on your behalf, including wills, copies of grants and executors details.  You may wish to use this service if you think you've been named in a will or should be entitled to a share in an estate but have not been contacted.

Genealogy Research - IWC can perform genealogical research on your behalf; we even offer family tree packages you can buy online as a gift for someone special.
