Cambridge Probate Office
There is no official Cambridge probate office. If you are required to attend an interview there, the venue will simply be a room in a local authority or court building. You should contact the controlling registry at the email address below for details. This Sub-Registry will deal with all enquiries related to probate Cambridge.

The Role of the Probate Office
The role of HM Courts and Tribunals service in relation to probate is to manage and verify applications from executors and administrators and issue grants and letters of administration. The will and grant of representation then become public documents.
Staff at the registry will be able to help with any queries related to your probate application; which forms to use, how to complete them, documents required, fees applicable, interview venues and what happens at the interview. They can also help point you in the right direction if you'd like to obtain copies of documents held in the public archives.
The registry cannot offer legal advice. If you require help and assistance under the following circumstances, it is recommended that you consult a professional;
-
Cases of intestate death
-
You wish to contest a will
-
You wish to enter in a caveat to stop a grant of probate being issued
-
The estate is liable for inheritance tax
-
You need to alter a will or intestacy
-
You have questions relating to administering the estate after the grant has been issued
- The estate contains overseas assets
-
You're unsure about your duties as executor/administrator
