The application process involves valuing the estate, completing a PA1 form, determining whether the estate is expected or not, completing the corresponding inheritance tax forms. These must be sent to the controlling registry and then you must wait for an appointment to swear an oath that the information you've provided is correct. Providing there are no problems or disputes, your grant will be issued and you'll be free to deal with the necessary administrative duties and distribute the estate to the beneficiaries.
